
Gus
Managing Director & Skipper
Gus is our Managing Director. He established Islay Sea Adventures in 2014, but has been in the charter boat business since 1999. He was born and bred on Islay, getting his first boat at the age of 12. Gus is also a commercial diver, commercial fisherman and has been an active member in the Coastguard for over 24 years.

Harold
Skipper, Guide & Scallop Chef
Captain, skipper, guide, and all-round entertainer, Harold was also born and bred on Islay. He joined Islay Sea Adventures in 2017, with plenty of experience to bring with him as he was also a commercial fisherman for many years. Renowned for his scallop cooking skills. He served in the Coastguard for 46 years and is an expert at telling the tides.

Alex
Skipper
Skipper Alex has been at sea all his life, even heading down to the Isle of Man at the age of 16. He has been at Islay Sea Adventures since the beginning, whilst also working as a commercial fisherman. Alex has a vast knowledge and experience in these waters around Islay as he was born and raised here.

Lori
Operations Manager
Our Operations Manager. Lori keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, taking bookings, organising trips and making your day even more special. You may see her down at the harbour directing you onto the boat for your trip, or if you pop into our office.

Hannah
Wildlife Specialist & Head of Marketing
Hannah is our Wildlife Specialist & Boat Safety Coordinator. As a graduate zoologist she can provide you with knowledge and facts on the wildlife you see on your trips as well as help to ID species. She also runs all of our social media and marketing.

Bertie
Skipper & Boat Mechanic
Bertie has owned boats since being a child, exploring the shores around Islay all of his life. As well as skippering the boats, he is also excellent at repairing them and their engines too. Our very own outboard mechanic.

Leo
Guide & Chef
Leo can often be found out on the boats guiding our guests on Wildlife, Fishing and Seafood Trips. As well as being a guide, he is also our resident Chef too. He now combines his love of the sea and his love of cooking by preparing all our our wonderful seafood platters & accompaniments on our Seafood Tours.

Adrian
Guide
Ex- fisherman and joiner by trade, Adrian has previously built boats used by Islay Sea Adventures. Although he is not on the boats every day, he’s a stand-in when we’re busy over the summer months, providing plenty of local knowledge to passengers.

Neil
Foreman
Neil is a foreman at our yard in Lagavulin by day, however he also enjoys being part of the crew onboard our trips. He is experienced at sea, having been in the Islay Coastguard for over 18 years. Neil has lots of local knowledge and interesting stories to tell.

Maggie
The Real Boss
Our office pooch and the real boss at Islay Sea Adventures is Maggie the Sprocker Spaniel.
